To wrap and protect the motor for the outdoors, we first started with the motor sitting on a large skid.

For the 5-sided wrap, we secured a perimeter strap around the lowest point of the object. We then applied a bomb sheet, which is a layer of loose film used as a preventative measure against sharp points on the object. For our second and final layer of film, we pulled the film over the object, cut the film to size and secured the film to itself, going around the perimeter strap. We secured the wrap further by running belly bands below the object in order to pull the lower section of the wrap underneath the object.

The motor was then safely wrapped for long term storage outside, freeing up valuable warehouse space.
