Built in 1843, the Richard Ashbridge Mansion (once known as "Indian Farm Run"), located off of Route 30 in Exton, has been through lots of wear and tear over the course of the last 20 years. The house was built by Richard Ashbridge, who was one of the grandsons of Richard Thomas, a welsh quaker and one of the first European settlers in the area during the early 1700’s. It is estimated that despite the current poor condition of the house, it was renovated in the mid 20th century. Although it hasn’t been inhabited since 1950, this mansion’s history is rich and is even included on the National Register of Historical Places.
We were asked to shrink wrap the mansion to preserve and protect the integrity of the property. After several years of shrink wrapping the home and having issues with the wrap staying intact due to the sharp angles, we tried something new.

The custom bag covers 100% of the roof and provides an impermeable layer designed to stand up against the elements. Removing excess time and potential failure from the equation, we were able to easily apply the cover and secure it tightly to the roof.
Before the custom cover wrap was installed, we shrink wrapped the chimneys on the property.
We used steel cables and turnbuckles to act as a perimeter strap and secure the bag around the corners of the roof. We also applied waterproof heat shrink tape to reinforce all seams and edges.
