Shrink Wrap is used to cover or wrap boats, outdoor furniture, equipment or structures for protection from the elements including UV rays.  Easily installed by one or two people, shrink wrap provides a great alternative to expensive custom made fabric covers.  Shrink wrap's incredible versatility, dependable protection, and ease of installation make it clear why it is used frequently in many different industries for protecting all types of assets.

Different thicknesses of shrink wrap are more suitable for certain applications, but with proper preparation, any thickness of shrinkwrap can be used for nearly any application.  One strong recommendation is to use thicker shrinkwrap for long distance road travel and other heavy duty applications.

• 6 Mil shrink wrap is our standard thickness for seasonal protection of outdoor furniture and other light duty applications.
• 7 Mil shrink wrap is the most common thickness used and is typically found in marine applications like protecting boats and jet skis.  7 Mil is also used for small to mid-size scaffolding covers, crates, small equipment, and short distance road travel.

On top of being more puncture resistant, thicker films can take more sustained heat while shrinking before a blowout occurs, which typically provides a greater ease of installation for the installer.  Mr. Shrinkwrap uses 7 Mil most frequently for wrapping boats at their outdoor storage locations.
