Product Description
Vents for Shrink Wrap are an easy and smart solution to provide ventilation for your shrink wrapped objects. Shrink Wrap is impermeable, meaning that fluids cannot pass through it. Shrink Wrap also prevents most gases from passing through it. Vents help to keep temperatures inside the wrap more consistent with the outside temperature, which reduces condensation. Vents also allow evaporated moisture to exit the shrink wrap enclosure so your wrapped objects are less likely to develop mold and other unwanted things that can develop when moisture cannot escape. Vents can be installed on shrink wrapped objects that will not be transported at high speeds. If you must transport your shrink wrapped object at high speeds in open-air environments such as on a trailer or a flatbed truck, be sure to install vents only after the object has reached its destination to avoid stretching and possible tears in the shrink wrap caused by increased wind resistance.
There's a variety of vents to choose from. Some vents are better suited for close-to-vertical sections of shrink wrap, while other vents may be applied at nearly any angle. Please see the details below to determine which vent you prefer to use on your project.
(Note: Mr. Shrinkwrap recommends using shrink film tape as an additional security measure when affixing vents to shrinkwrap.)

| Rectangular Adhesive Vent | A thin, louver-style 1-piece vent with adhesive strips on its back side. Good for nearly vertical or steep angles of shrink wrap. Not to be used on horizontal or nearly horizontal surfaces. |
| Stick-On Round Vent | Good for nearly any angle of shrink wrap, these 2-piece vents have an adhesive on the bottom piece which also features a neck to prevent water from getting in. The top piece has ventilation holes and a section directly below which acts as an umbrella to divert water away from the cutout within the neck below. |
| Stealth Vent | These 1-piece vents have a louvered wide side and a pointed skinny side. Great for vertical or steep angles, these vents pierce the shrink wrap and are held in place by wedging themselves above and below the shrink wrap like a paper clip. |
| Weather Tight Adhesive Vent | Available in White or Black, these vents feature a 2-piece construction. The top piece acts as an umbrella, deflecting rain away from the cutout below. The bottom piece of the vent has a neck that prevents water from getting in and a tough, adhesive-covered foam layer on the bottom that holds the vent in place. |
| Vico Self Adhesive Vent | These 2-piece vents feature a bottom half with a neck around the cutout and an adhesive bottom layer. The top cap has teeth in the shape of the necessary shrinkwrap cutout. The top cap is used to cut the shrink wrap and is then clipped back onto the bottom piece, which creates an umbrella effect to divert rain. Great for use from nearly any angle. |
