20' NW V-Hull Boat Cover by Transhield

**Lead Time approximately 3 Weeks, but possibly less. Call us for Lead Time concerns.**

"NW" refers to "Northwest Style" fishing boats which have higher and more forward-placed windshields. This style of boat is typically found in the Pacific Northwest of the US. Like the standard universal V-Hull covers, these NW V-Hull covers can utilize a single support pole on the floor for additional watershed and snow delection.

Transhield boat covers are a great choice for protection from the elements during long-term storage or transportation of your boat. Transhield covers are also easy to install! Transhield covers may be heated to shrink for a tight fit, which is necessary for demanding applications like long-term outdoor storage or transportation on the road. Shrinking of a Transhield cover is not required for light duty applications like indoor, covered storage. Once your Transhield cover is shrunk around the top half of your boat, it will be much more difficult to remove and reinstall.

What's Included:

  • The Transhield Cover
  • Attached Drawstring
  • Side Loops for better Securing of the sides of the Cover

What Youll Need:

  • Support Structure Under the Cover (Pole Accessory Kit or you can make support posts yourself)
  • Rope or other method to secure the Cover using the Side Loops
  • Propane Heat Gun to shrink the cover.

Determining the right size for your Transhield Boat Cover
All Transhield Covers are designed to be fitted using the overall length of the boat – INCLUDING swim platforms and engines if they are to be covered. This “center line” measurement can be imagined as going down the center of the boat, through the boat’s windshield, rather than above it. Transhield covers are designed to fall 4 to 6 inches below the boat’s rub rail or deck.

** Transhield Universal Boat Covers are sized generically and are not guaranteed to fit any specific model of boat. It is our recommendation to select a cover that is one size above the overall length of your boat (including swim platform/engine if they are to be covered) to ensure the complete top-side coverage desired is obtained.**

To obtain the intended protection of a Transhield Boat Cover, you'll need to apply intense heat to shrink the outside of the cover once it is secured. The purchase of a heat gun might be a large investment if you are covering your own boat for the first time. Mr. Shrinkwrap understands that you may only require the use of a heat gun for an hour or so to completely shrink your cover. With you in mind, we will apply a discount to the rental of a Shrinkfast 998 Heat Gun when you purchase a Transhield Boat Cover in the same order. To receive a 25% discount on a Heat Gun Rental with your purchase of a Transhield Cover, simply check out with both the Transhield Cover and the Shrinkfast 998 Heat Gun Rental in the same cart.

Applications and if shrinking your cover is necessary:
Indoor Storage Shrinking is not necessary for use as a dust cover when kept indoors. Structure is recommended, but not completely necessary.
Short Term Outdoor Storage It's a bit risky, but shrinking is not essential for short-term outdoor storage if the cover is properly secured and taut. Secured structure is important to mitigate pooling water and debris. Possible pooling of water/debris and strong winds are concerns. Inspect your cover carefully, periodically.
Long Term Outdoor Storage Shrinking is strongly recommended. Although Transhield covers are much thicker than shrinkwrap alone, Transhield covers will also stretch over time from the weight of pooling water and wind. Be sure to have secured structure below your taut Transhield cover! Inspect periodically.
Road Transportation Shrinking is a must. Secured structure under the cover is a must. Transportation applications carry with them the most risk because of the high air/wind speeds and debris associated with road travel. It is recommended that the height of your structure is kept as low as possible - specifically for road travel. *Do NOT apply vents to your cover until your boat is at its destination!*

**TRANSHIELD COVER RETURNS/EXCHANGE POLICY: Covers are sized generically and are not guaranteed to fit any specific model of boat. It is our recommendation to select a cover that is one size above the overall length of your boat (including swim platforms and engines if they are to be covered) to ensure full coverage. For returns, the customer is responsible for the payment of the return shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee. If exchanging for a different cover, restocking fee will be waived.**
